News News from our Community News from our community - May 2026 JUNE 2026 UPDATE EasyFundraising Over £2.2 million has just been given to community and voluntary led organisations using easyfundraising. All courtesy of retailers giving donations when people shop online. You can be part of the next funding pay out in August by setting up a free easyfundraising page for your organisation. Simply register your organisation as a good cause with easyfundraising and ask your network (volunteers staff, trustees, family etc) to choose you as the cause they want to support. Then, each time they shop online with over 8,000 well known retailers like Tesco, trainline, M&S, Sainsbury’s, Booking.com, eBay and many more, they’ll raise a cashback donation for your organisation, courtesy of the retailer they shopped with, at no extra cost to anyone! Every three months, the money raised is paid to your organisation and you can spend it on whatever you like as this classes as unrestricted funding. Dividing Lines: Anti-Migrant Words 'DIVIDING LINES: How Anti-Migrant Agitators Use Words To Pull Us Apart' draws on narrative analysis and social media data to investigate the language driving racist ideas into the UK mainstream conversation. The report decodes the rhetorical strategies of the most high‑profile anti‑migrant figures in the UK (including Nigel Farage, Laurence Fox, Katie Hopkins, Tommy Robinson and Dan Wootton) revealing how their words intentionally frame migrants, Muslims and Black and brown Britons as outsiders and threats. Petition: Women's Toilet Facilities Sign the petition for building regulations to require more women’s toilet facilities in public buildings. Current building regulations do not reflect real usage patterns; women often face longer queues due to factors such as menstruation and pregnancy, young children commonly accompany their mothers to the toilet, increasing demand. Insufficient provision causes delays and inconvenience for women and those waiting for them, affecting comfort, dignity and practical use of public spaces. Updating the regulations would ensure women have fair and adequate access to toilet facilities in public buildings.
