Why become a member

Become a member and join the WRC community - a community of sisterhood, solidarity and activism.

Hands holistically holding a woman illustration

The WRC network is made up of a diverse range of local and national, predominantly small and grassroots, women’s organisations. Our membership is also for organisations that stand in solidarity with WRC's mission and for individuals who believe in and want to contribute to our work.

Our mission is to stand up for and support a diverse and thriving women's sector in the UK. We see our members as valuable collaborators and agents for change and we exist to represent their collective voice.

Why become a WRC member?

Get your voice heard

WRC works to represent the women’s sector, addressing all issues and disadvantages women face. We regularly consult with our members on various policies and legislation to make sure that the voice of our membership is heard by decision-makers. In addition, we produce reports, put on events, and conduct surveys and polls for and with our members. We always encourage and value your input and expertise in whatever we do.

Influence decision-makers

WRC is fearless in speaking truth to power. We work with the breadth of experience and knowledge that our membership represents to respond to government and work to influence policy. WRC members have opportunities to input into regional, national, and international policy.

Stay informed and up-to-date

You will receive a monthly newsletter in your inbox, and this, together with our blog, provides key information on sector news, training, events, funding opportunities and jobs. We also have a research library full of evidence-based analysis on women’s human rights and social justice.

Share successes and learnings

Our members have a wealth of expertise, and WRC will identify, share and celebrate our member organisations and highlight their work in case studies.

Be part of the WRC community

Collaboration is one of our core values, and we know that real and transformative change is possible through working together. WRC exists to nurture partnerships and collaborations through its birds-eye view of the women's voluntary community sector and women’s human rights. By joining our membership, you will contribute to strengthening our sector.

"The service you provide to women and the women’s sector is so important. I was continually impressed by the quality of the trainers and content of the workshops and have learned so much.”

~Women for Women International~
