Evelina - Feminist Leadership Training Manager Expand Evelina has a life-long commitment to feminism, equality, and human rights. Evelina joined WRC in 2016 after completing her BA in Human Rights and her MSc in Gender and International Relations. During her time at WRC, she has been managing various projects including the Ascent project, the Way Ahead, and the Civil Society Roots project. She is the designer, trainer, and project manager of the Feminist Leadership/Women's Leadership for Social Change programme. She also delivers training on staff wellbeing. Sharon Facey - Acting Chair Expand Sharon graduated from UCL Birbeck and is a registered member of the BACP as a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist & Life Coach. Sharon has worked for the past two decades as a VAWG & Mental Health Practitioner supporting survivors of trauma & abuse also mothers experiencing perinatal mental health. Sharon has been an active member of the womanist movement in London and currently has a small private practice offering wellbeing sessions.
Vivienne Hayes MBE - CEO Expand Vivienne Hayes, MBE is the CEO of Women’s Resource Centre. Vivienne has spent over 30 years working in the women’s sector, both delivering and managing services. Her passion is to support and improve the life experiences of women and their children, and most of her work has focused on this. Vivienne’s first inspiration comes from her mother, a working class woman who left school in her early teens to work in a factory, but who impressed upon her children the importance of education and an open mind. Vivienne was a commissioner for Women’s National Commission, one of the first Trustees of Rosa – the UK Fund for Women, and has advised the Women’s Foundation. Vivienne was awarded the National Diversity Award 2013 for Gender Role Model. WRC won Third Sector 2014 award for Britain’s Most Admired Charity. More recently, Vivienne was a made an MBE.
Tracey Ford - Trustee Expand Tracey Ford is a Founding Director of JAGS Foundation, a youth-focused organisation that advocates and campaigns to raise public and political consciousness of rising youth violence at both community and government levels. Tracey is a regular contributor to local and national television and radio debates. An exceptional speaker whose use of restorative justice principles underpins the work that allows the reflection of the harm and devastation caused within society to be addressed throughout the UK in schools, young offender institutions, prisons, statutory and community organisations. Tracey is a Winston Churchill Fellow 2012.
Helene Harrigan - Trustee Expand Although Helene's career hasn't been in the women's sector exclusively, she has always gravitated to roles supporting women. She served for a year as a board member for Lambeth Women's Aid 1996-97. As a young woman she worked for 10 years at PAS (Pregnancy Advisory Service) supporting and counselling women making important decisions about their reproductive health. She has trained to be an Appropriate Adult, supporting vulnerable women in police interviews. "WRC is unique in supporting women and women's groups that are often marginalised by the mainstream. This is what attracted me to apply for the position of board member."
Shani - London VAWG Consortium Coordinator Expand Shani is the coordinator of the London Violence Against Women and Girls Consortium. She has an MA in Digital Media and Society and holds the SFEDI award for Social Enterprise and Small Business Support. She is especially interested in co-production and new forms of organising and is fascinated by wealth creation potential of blockchain technology. Find out more on: The London VAWG Consortium
Kiran - Policy Manager Expand Kiran started at the WRC Policy Team back in 2005 when she began her MSc in Gender, Development and Globalisation. She became a Policy Officer shortly after and has worked on and off for WRC on various reports and freelance research projects over the years, before becoming Policy Manager in 2022. She has a special interest in commissioning and funding and is leading on the CEDAW Shadow Report 2023.
Nour - Partnerships Manager Expand Nour is the Partnerships Manager at WRC. She manages the activities of the Ascent project’s support services strand, which delivers over 30 different types of trainings to organisations working in the sexual and domestic violence sector. She holds an MSc in Urban Economic Development from UCL, and is nearing the end of a PhD exploring the relationship between transport accessibility and women’s empowerment. Nour is passionate about research, writing, women's empowerment and socio-economic equality. Find out more on: Ascent project
Inderjit - Development Manager Expand Inderjit is passionate about making a difference for women from marginalised communities, a commitment that comes from her own life experiences and entrepreneurial roots. Inderjit has over 25 years of experience in leading work across the community and voluntary sector, in particular women’s organisations to strengthen community cohesion and embed sustainability. She is a qualified and experienced community development practitioner as well as a manager, instrumental in developing a women’s centre in the Midlands. She has carried out business diagnostics, coaching, and bespoke sessions with leaders from community and voluntary organisations to embed and strengthen social innovation and entrepreneurship. Inderjit has extensive experience in setting up projects and programmes in supporting women from marginalised communities to achieve their potential.
Laura - Policy and Research Officer Expand Laura is the Policy and Research Officer at WRC. She completed a BA in Philosophy and Theology at the University of Bristol and has a particular interest in feminist philosophy and women’s empowerment. Laura works on policy, research, campaigns and fundraising.
Bowale - Admin and Membership Officer Expand Bowale is the Admin and Membership Officer at WRC. She completed a law degree at the University of Kent where she became passionately interested in gender, race, social justice, change, and equality.
