Mariama Njie-Ceesay is the Project Manager for Network for Black Women Leaders (NBWL), where she leads initiatives aimed at fostering racial justice, equity, and belonging for those from minoritised backgrounds. Mariama draws on her experience as Co-chair of Coventry University's EDI Sub-committee for Enterprise to this position. She is also a devoted volunteer youth mentor and has notably designed and co-delivered the EmpowHER social justice programme for young girls and care leavers with Creative Optimistic Visions, a Midlands based Social Enterprise in partnership with UK Youth.

 

Mariama is also a member of the delivery team for WRC’s FLT Programme. Her dedication to empowering young women and girls through innovative, and impactful programmes are underpinned by her commitment and passion for creating inclusive and supportive environments.
