Membership – Terms & Conditions

  • By joining the Women’s Resource Centre (WRC) membership, you commit to upholding our values, vision and mission. 
  • As a member, you are entitled to the benefits outlined in your membership package, subject to availability.
  • Community Membership is for individuals and organisations committed to women’s rights, equality, activism, and social justice. This includes those who wish to stay informed and engaged, activists, or professionals in the sector or related industries.
  • Community Members who are part of women-led organisations, students, researchers, or allies in the voluntary sector may be eligible for a different membership type. WRC may contact you about upgrading to Sisterhood, Activist, or Solidarity Membership, which offers additional benefits.
  • Sisterhood Membership is for women’s charities and voluntary sector organisations. This means, the organisation must exist solely for women. Organisations providing services to both men and women are not eligible for Sisterhood Membership, except in exceptional cases at WRC’s discretion.
  • Solidarity Membership is for organisations that do not exist solely for women, but are affiliated with equality, activism and social justice. This includes charities, voluntary sector community organisations, public or private sector organisations, and political parties.
  • Activist Membership is for individuals, students and researchers who support WRC’s work and the women’s sector and wish to engage in equality, activism and social justice.
  • Sisterhood, Solidarity and Activist Membership applications are subject to WRC’s approval. We reserve the right to refuse membership if we determine that an applicant does not support WRC's values, vision and mission.
  • Membership benefits may be subject to change at WRC’s discretion.
  • We will use the latest contact information you provide and cannot be held responsible for missed communications if your details are not updated.
  • WRC stores personal details in compliance with the Data Protection Act and does not share information with third parties. You can view our Privacy Policy here.
  • WRC reserves the right to refuse or terminate a membership if an organisation or individual breaches our Code of Conduct.
  • Membership does not entitle members to use WRC’s logo or claim representation of WRC unless written permission is obtained from the Chief Executive.
  • Force majeure – Neither party shall be liable for delay or non - performance due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to, acts of terrorism, war, riots, civil commotion, compliance with any law or government orders, fire, flood, storm, strikes or other industrial disputes, transit delay, power failure, postal delays, or any other unforeseen events. In such cases, WRC will resume service as soon as is reasonably possible.
  • Membership fees for Solidarity and Activist Memberships will be collected annually or monthly, depending on the chosen payment method.
  • Direct debit subscriptions (monthly or annual) will renew automatically unless cancelled by the member.
  • Members without a direct debit subscription will be contacted at the point of renewal.
  • Cancellations must be submitted in writing to [email protected].
