Short Job description: Turtle Dove Cambridge is a Community Interest Company which exists to provide supported work experience and educational opportunities for young women aged 14-24 who are or are at risk of not being in education, employment or training. We support young women who lack the confidence to gain training and employment due to negative life experiences.

The director will work as part of the board who are responsible for contributing to the strategy, vision and mission of the organisation. Turtle Dove is looking for someone who is committed and enthusiastic to make a big difference within a small team. It is a voluntary position and will require commitment to quarterly board meetings and a few hours of additional work per month. The director will work closely with the managing director to:

• Scope out funding opportunities,
• Support with applying for bids and grants,
• Assist with completing financial reviews
• Work on financial strategies to ensure the sustainability of the company
• Advise on fundraising efforts and developing fundraising partnerships

We are seeking someone with experience in finance and fundraising, knowledgeable about the non-profit sector and passionate about women's empowerment.

Location: Cambridge (remote working possible)
