Image of women protesting for LBWP

For 32 years, London Black Women’s Project (LBWP) has supported roughly 2,066 women & 1,160 children in their refuges.

Newham Council have just cut the funding for LBWP who have been supporting women and children fleeing domestic violence in Newham for over 32 years. Their life-saving services include five domestic violence refuges that ensure the safety of women and children when they are forced to leave their home.

London Black Women’s Project need YOUR support to help keep the doors of their refuges.

Help save their life-saving services for BME women and children.

We join LBWP in calling on Newham council to overturn the decision to cut the funding and have signed their open letter to Mayor Fiaz and the members of the London Borough of Newham Council Cabinet.

Will you join the campaign and call on Rokhsana Fiaz, the elected Mayor of Newham, to review and reverse the decision and to ensure that critical, lifesaving diverse pathways for women and children remain open?
