BACKGROUND INFORMATION ABOUT WRC

Filmmaker (freelance)

We are looking for a fantastic, feminist filmmaker!

Our new project, Sisters Doing it for Themselves, is set to document the experiences of leaders & activists in the women’s charity and community sector and their contribution to social change.

An element of the project will involve year 7-10 school girls interviewing some of the leaders, and we are looking for a camera-woman to capture this on film. Filming will take place onsite of two London schools on 13th & 14th May. You need to be fully available on both days.

The film along with other materials created through our project will be promoted at events etc., then housed and archived at the Women’s Library in London.

If you are a camera-woman, with your own equipment for recording and post production, we'd love to hear from you.

Budget and time frame will be shared when we meet potential candidates. We will be meeting women interested in this piece of work in March 2020.

If you are interested, please email [email protected] detailing your experience by 26th February 2020.

Looking for a new opportunity? Have a look at our jobs board that features roles within the women's sector and from our members.
