Job description: Fixed Term Until March 2022, but further funding will be sough,t The London Survivors Gateway (LSG) is an innovative project that is the first of its kind in London. It is a partnership comprised of the four Rape Crisis Centres, Galop, SurvivorsUK, Respond and The Havens which together provide a unique single point of access into specialist sexual violence services. The LSG is run by Sexual Violence Navigators who support any survivor (aged 13), to access long-term support including advocacy, counselling and other services that they may require. It is a fast-paced role, providing timely interventions to address immediate needs whilst helping survivors to make decisions about the next steps in their healing journey. The LSG is delivered from a person centred, trauma informed and survivor led, integrated approach ensuring individualised care pathways that are rooted in empowerment and best practice. The work is delivered through a commitment to an anti-oppressive, feminist framework that strives to address additional barriers and meet the diverse range of survivors needs understanding the specific support needs of each survivor. We are looking for a Senior Navigator to play a key role in supporting the everyday delivery of the LSG, enabling a safe, responsive, trauma-informed and culturally appropriate service for survivors. The Senior Navigator will support our brilliant team of Navigators to ensure a productive and collaborative environment, which facilitates excellent service delivery for survivors, their supporters and professionals and where professional growth, development and successes are celebrated. The successful candidate will ensure that the support provided is holistic and innovative. They will have specialist knowledge in sexual violence as well as direct experience of supporting survivors and frontline workers. They will have exceptional communication skills, strong IT skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, telephone focused role. It is anticipated that the activities and opportunities involved with this role will develop overtime in response to, and to reflect, the evolving needs of survivors and the overall project. Location: This role will initially be on a remote-working basis, changing to office-based (in Hammersmith and Fulham and involving travel across London) when circumstances allow and as required by WGN’s services
