Our work Leadership Network for Black Women Leaders Network for Black Women Leaders Based on demand and member research, WRC’s promising led by and for Network for Black Women Leaders (NBWL) creates an environment for women of the African diaspora and African descent to come together to reignite ambitions, and celebrate cultural leadership, challenge personal and deep-seated viewpoints. It is our intention to ensure that the uptake of senior leadership positions is a reality through the provision of a high-quality network, peer support services, and advocating for the transformation of the working environment. Call for Women of African heritage to be mentors Women’s Resource Centre is excited to announce that we have been awarded the Women Thrive Fund from ROSA to develop a much-requested signature coaching and mentoring program, led by and for women of African heritage as part of our Network for Black Women Leaders (NBWL). To express your interest, send one A4 page in response to these questions to [email protected] Tell us a story from your own career, i.e. how did you get to where you are today? How did you land your current role? Tell us about what excites you about mentoring. NOW CLOSED Call for Women of African heritage to be mentees We are seeking mentees to join our coaching and mentoring program. The opportunity is also open to members of African heritage in the NBWL. To express your interest, please record a two-minute video answering the following questions: Why are you looking for a mentor and what do you hope to achieve? What skills are you looking to develop? Or what areas do you need support with? What do you understand about mentoring and how do you think it can help you? How do you plan to make your mentoring relationship successful? Can you be committed to speaking with your mentor once a month? Why do you think you would make a good mentee? Please send your video to [email protected] In recognition of your commitment and to provide assistance and services for the NBWL programme - we require a contribution of £100 (this can be paid in 4 payments or one single payment). NOW CLOSED Network for Black Women Leaders events The Network for Black Women Leaders holds regular networking events for women of the African diaspora within and outside the women’s sector to discuss their different approaches to leadership and so much more. At our core, we are united in the struggle against racism and sexism. We will regularly update the website with new events.
