Training: Project Management

This course will look at regular issues that arise in project management and what you can do about resolving them/making sure they don’t occur. It will help you analyse the current state of your project and provide methods for constant feedback. The course will consider the wider operational environment, managing risk, maintaining financial control, reporting and record keeping, managing change and developing performance indicators.
Who is it for?
The course is aimed at people with little or no experience of project management
The course will enable participants to:
- Understand the importance of performance indicators in keeping you on track
- Gain ideas on resolving common problems
- Have an understanding of your responsibilities in managing the project “life cycle”
Topics covered include:
- Defining projects
- Critical success factors
- Risk and managing risk
- Asking the right questions
- Tracking and reporting tools
- Skills management
Delivery of this course will use a mixture of trainer input, discussion, exercises, and small group work.
This course is FUNDED for women’s organisations or projects based in London working with those affected by sexual and domestic violence.
If you do not fulfil the above criteria the following applies:
If your organisation is a Member of WRC you will need to pay £25 for the full day
If your organisation is not a member of WRC you will need to pay £50 for the full day
Please note that we can only allow one participant per organisation. If there are two or more staff members wishing to participate on this training you will be placed on a waiting list and allocated a place if space is available.
