Job description: Hopscotch Asian Women's Centre are a community led organisation working with BME women and families in Camden and the surrounding areas. They have a turnover of over 1m with 25 office based and 60 care workers doing incredible work with the most vulnerable people. They work on a number of issues including welfare support, advocacy, employment skills service, VAWG and providing personal and domiciliary care in the community, the only provider in the area which is also a charity. This culturally bespoke Homecare service is for the elderly and other vulnerable groups, with care workers that speak a number of relevant languages making this a sought after service.

Hopscotch Asian Women's Centre are looking to recruit a Trustee with experience and interest in the Health and Social Care sector to support their homecare work so that they can grow safely and steadily and continue to provide essential services to our community. The Trustees meet quarterly and work on the strategic vision of the charity as well as supporting the staff with matters including quality assurance, safeguarding and policies, financial oversight, fundraising. They have annual away days to discuss the broader needs of the community and the wider BME women’s agenda, to ensure Hopscotch’s work remain relevant to the women who need support. Our Homecare Sub Committee meets monthly and could do with your experience to keep the service on track. There are many other opportunities to get involved based on skills and availability. It is a highly engaged team with a range of expertise which enjoys working together, with their Chief Executive ensuring a very manageable workload for each Trustee.
