Job description: The Women’s Support Centre (WSC) was established in 2008 by Women in Prison (WIP) with the support of Woking Borough Council. The WSC is based in Woking and provides support to women throughout Surrey who are in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with the criminal justice system. We have an exciting opportunity for a new Caseworker to join our innovative Checkpoint service. Checkpoint is a partnership between the WSC and Surrey Police aimed at addressing the root causes of offending behaviour. As a Checkpoint Case Worker you will develop strong working relationships with women referred into the scheme and will formulate and deliver support plans to address their needs. You will need experience of supporting service users experiencing multiple disadvantages. We actively encourage applications from women from a variety of backgrounds, and with a range of skills and experiences. We are particularly interested to hear from Black, Asian and minoritised women and women who have personal experience of the criminal justice system. The role is only open to women, in accordance with the sex-based exemptions of the Equality Act 2010 pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1.

Location: Based at the Women’s Support Centre (Surrey)

Salary: £23,622 per annum
