Organisation name: Women In Prison

Job title: Complex Needs Worker x 2

Closing date: Midnight – 3rd February 2020

Job description: This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new project providing an enhanced support service to women who have experienced complex trauma and as a result are screened into the National Probation Service’s ‘Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathway’. The project will take a bio-psychosocial approach to the support offered and that work together with other pathway services sharing information to provide a cohesive pathway of psychologically informed services through which women can move and progress. The purpose of this role is to deliver in-depth specialist advocacy, support and advice to a small caseload of women who have multiple intersecting needs, a significant history of traumatic life experiences or who are likely to be diagnosed with a personality disorder and/or face other mental health challenges. Historically other services may have struggled to engage with these women. We actively encourage applications from women from a variety of backgrounds, and with a range of skills and experiences. We are particularly interested to hear from Black, Asian and minority ethnic women and women who have personal experience of the criminal justice system. The role is only open to women, in accordance with the sex-based exemptions of the Equality Act 2010 pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1.
