Job Title: Community Prevention Worker

Location: Shepherds Bush (the role includes travel across London)

Job Description:

This new and exciting role will be responsible for engaging and driving whole community engagement through delivering training, seminars and VAWG Awareness and Resilience Programs. The successful candidate will be experienced in developing and delivering creative VAWG prevention programs and confident to successfully engage YWG’s in a wide range of settings. (Schools, colleges, youth programs, YOTS, music venues and festivals) to raise awareness, challenge and positively influence the attitudes and behaviours that normalise VAWG in this peer group. You will receive specialist training on delivering VAWG Resilience Programs that build psychological and emotional resilience in YWG’s to strengthen protective factors to promote positive mental and emotional well-being in YWG’s.

A key aspect of your role will be to establish a thriving London-wide ‘Experts by Experience’ (EbyE) advisory panel. You will therefore be skilled in nurturing and developing YWG’s voice and active engagement within such forums. You will be skilled at working alongside young women with an acute awareness of how to successfully co-create and co-deliver training packages to professionals and the wider community, thus centralising YWG’s as the leaders and change agents in the project. 

This role is funded by Mayors Office for Policing and Crime.

Type: Full time, 35 hours per week

Salary: £28,000 per annum
