 About the Series

This is the second in a two-part series on the anti-racism charter and racism in the women's sector. The mini-series, centred around the 16 Days of Activism, will explore the anti-racism charter, what the sector needs to be doing to be actively anti-racist and what we as individual organisations can be doing within that.

The first event in the series, celebrating the soft launch of the 'Call for Action: End Racism in the VAWG Sector', will explain the key points from the charter, and the practical actions that the sector needs to be taking. It will be led by Baljit Banga, Executive Director of Imkaan, and Andrea Simon, Director of EVAW.

This, the second event in the two-part series, will be the chance for further exploration of your own internal practices, where participants will be encouraged to have difficult and open conversations and examine their own practices in detail.

 About the Event

The event will be a chance to examine the Call for Action in practical terms, looking at the recommendations and how organisations within the sector can work on implementing them within their organisations. It will be a chance for participants to continue having those difficult and necessary conversations in a safe space with other likeminded individuals in the sector.

The event will consist of speaker presentations and facilitated discussions for audience participation.
