It is vital that women's organisations work together and support
each other. There are active women's networks in many areas bringing
people together to challenge women's inequality and the chronic
underfunding of the women's sector.
The Women's Resource
Centre connects women's networks across the country, strengthening
women's networks and forums where they exist and nurturing new contacts
and links.
We work to identify areas of common ground and
shared visions, to break down isolation and fragmentation in the
sector, and to encourage peer support and self empowerment.
Are you part of a women's network?
Are you interested in setting up a women's network?
We can help you. The support we offer is based on the needs of women's networks and can include:
- putting you in touch with groups working in your area or working on similar issues
- training on influencing decision-making
- training on developing and managing your network
- one-to-one support (phone, email or face-to-face)
- advice on research, lobbying and campaigning
Stronger Together: supporting women's work locally to strengthen women's voices nationally.
