Media Training for Equality Groups

Cost: £50 (standard cost £120)Do you want to know how to deal with negative media coverage of
equality groups – BME, disabled people, gypsies and travellers,
lesbians and gay men, refugees, migrants and/or others?This training aims to provide delegates with invaluable and practical
public relations tools for dealing with the media. You will develop an
understanding of what media relations is and how it can benefit your
organisation and the frontline groups that you work with. You will
equip yourself with skills to gain local and national media coverage
from writing a press release to planning a great photo to dealing with
negative coverage, including complaints.
Bursaries are available to cover the course fee if your organisation

Making Information Accessible: Training by CHANGE

This Easy Words and Picture Training will look at why making
information easy to understand is important for people with learning
disabilities. During the day training will be given on how to create
and present documents in an accessible way as well as how to facilitate
accessible workshops and meetings that will involve everyone. The
participants are encouraged to take what they have learnt at the
training and share it with the frontline organisations they support.
There are bursaries available for equalities organisations with limited
funding who would otherwise be unable to attend. To apply for a bursary, please send a completed

Making the Equality Bill Work for Us!
