(English Regions Equality Network),  BIHR (British Institute of Human Rights and  RAISE are pleased to be hosting a joint event for the South East of England and London voluntary and community sector on human rights, helping the third sector to empower the lives of individuals and communities.

Who is it for?
• Are you a community-led organisation working to tackle inequality and social injustice in your local area?
• Would you like to empower the individuals and communities you are working with by increasing their knowledge of human rights and how to use human rights to tackle poor treatment and inequality?
• Would you like to use human rights to increase your influence and impact with public policy makers?
If the answer is yes then come along to a free human rights event to find out about an exciting new project ‘Human Rights in the Community’.

Personalisation - an equalities perspective

In a time of change, this is a chance for your organisation to learn more about the personalisation agenda, in particular the challenges and the opportunities that exist from an equalities perspective. This is also a chance for people from varied equalities backgrounds to explore common issues arising from the personalisation agenda, such as individual budgets.

Who is it for?

Disability organisations, Deaf people’s organisations, older people’s organisations, equality organisations, user-led groups and anyone else interested in personalisation and equality issues.

What is it about?
To explore common issues arising from personalisation and individual budgets and to develop a common understanding of equality issues in the personalisation and social care agenda.
