The Women’s Resource Centre and
NUS Women’s Campaign are working together to raise awareness of the vital support that women’s organisations provide.
Using the why women? campaign and the
NUS Hidden Marks report, students can stand up for women's organisations building stronger links between our colleges, universities and
these essential services.
The
why women? campaign speaks up
for women’s organisations that provide free, and often life-saving
services. You can join the why women?
facebook group or follow us on Twitter
@whywomenHidden Marks reveals women students’ experiences of violence, harassment, sexual
assault and stalking and shows that they are often
left without the support that they need. It is local women’s services
which provide that vital support. The report concludes with recommendations on how student unions can better support women students by taking a zero tolerance approach to violence against women.
