Global South/North Exchange: CEDAW in action
This special event brings together
WOMANKIND partners from women’s organisations in Peru, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Nepal and Ghana who will share their experiences of using CEDAW (the international bill of rights for women) at a local level.
The event will focus on how women’s organisations in the UK can use CEDAW into their current lobbying and advocacy work to uphold women’s rights and hold our government to account on its gender equality obligations, based on learning from women’s organisations in the South.

- FEDO (Feminist Dalit Organisation), Nepal
The panel will include Dorcas Coker-Appiah, CEDAW Committee member, and the event coincides with 30 years of CEDAW.

Who? This event is primarily for the women’s community and voluntary sector in the UK
