Social Enterprise - Advanced Workshop

Date: 23 March 2010
Time: 9:30am - 4.00pm
Venue: WRC

Who is it for?

This Advanced Social Enterprise workshop is designed for women’s organisations that have already set up their social enterprise or have made some practical steps towards it and need help with the next stage of development.

What's it about?

Women’s Resource Centre is committed to supporting women’s organisations to become more sustainable, especially in the current economic climate. One of the ways of doing this is for organisations to trade as a social enterprise. this could either mean setting up an independent business with social/environmental objectives or adding a trading arm to an existing organisation.

In response to feedback from women who have attended our training courses we have recognised the need for more in depth support around Social Enterprise, for organisations that have already made practical steps towards setting up their enterprise.

The day will be led by Social Enterprise expert Uday Thakkar who created and runs his own Social Enterprise, Red Ochre, which provides services, including business and social enterprise support, to the third sector.

This workshop is free and open to all women’s organisations in London.

You will also have the opportunity to sign up for further support offered by the Women’s Resource Centre to enable you to diversify your income and make yourselves more sustainable.
