WRC, HEAR (London’s network of equalities organisations) and Voluntary Sector Forum (VSF) are hosting a hustings event for the 2010 London Local Elections.
This is an excellent opportunity for voluntary and community sector organisations (frontline and second tier) to ask questions of questions of councillors
from the main political parties and get their voices heard.
There will be questions, focused
locally, regionally and nationally on the following areas:- General voluntary and community sector and pan-London issues
- The equalities sectors
- The women’s sector
Who should attend?
- Frontline equalities organisations – this is an opportunity to raise issues with panelists.
- Frontline women’s organisations - there will be a section of the hustings devoted specifically to the women’s sector
- Equalities and generic second tier organisations
What will happen on the day?
- 2:00pm - 2:30pm: Questions on the general voluntary and community sector and pan-London issues
- 2:30pm – 3.15pm: Questions on the equalities sectors
- 3:15pm - 3.30pm: Tea and coffee break
- 3:30pm - 4:30pm: Questions on the women’s sector
- 4:30pm - 5.00pm: Summing up

How do I book a place?

ellen@wrc.org.uk giving details of any dietary and access requirements. We will be ensuring that there is good representation from the widest possible range of stakeholders so there may be a waiting list. It is essential that you wait for confirmation of a place please before coming along.
How do I submit a question?
If you would like to submit a question to ask the panel, then please send this with your R.S.V.P. email.
WRC, HEAR and VSF will choose a selection of questions to be asked on the day in order to ensure that as wide a range of issues as possible can be covered. These questions will be shared with the panel in advance and we will advise you if your question has been selected.
There will also be a short time at the end of each session for other questions from the audience
