Published by: End Violence Against Women Coalition and the Equality and Human Rights Commission (2009)

Tackling Modern Day Slavery
An interim report on the City Parochial Foundation's special initiative
Published by: City Parochial Foundation (2008)

To mark the bicentenary of the abolition of the transatlantic slave trade in 2007, City
Parochial Foundation established a special initiative to support work combating ‘modern
day slavery’ in the UK. Through this special initiative, City Parochial Foundation awarded grants totalling £354,000 to Anti-Slavery International, Eaves, ECPAT UK, Kalayaan and Women and Girls Network. This report aims to take stock of all that the funded groups have achieved in the past 18 months, to share the learning that has arisen so far, and to look ahead to the remaining challenges.

Hard knock life

Violence against women - a guide for donors
Published by: New Philanthropy Capital (April 2008)

This guide for donors argues that violence against women has such farreaching consequences that tackling it may also help to reduce mental health problems, homelessness, substance abuse, prostitution and child abuse. By supporting charities in this field, donors can make women and their children safe from abuse, help them to rebuild their lives and hold perpetrators to account.

Published by: End Violence Against Women Coalition and the Equality and Human Rights Commission (2007)

Map of Gaps shows graphically for the first time the real postcode lottery in violence against women support services such as Rape Crisis Centres and domestic violence refuges. A third of local authorities across the UK do not have specialised services, leaving many women without the support they deserve.
