Put your foot down for women with HIV
On International Women's Day, ActionAid wants to
deliver 2876 shoes to the government, one for each of the women who contract HIV every day.
Across the world, the threat of violence prevents women from refusing sex or insisting on the use of condoms, even when they suspect their partners are HIV-positive. Many women also face violence and abandonment on disclosure of an HIV positive diagnosis.
We’ve all got shoes hidden at the back of the wardrobe that we no longer wear. Why not donate them to the ActionAid HIV campaign? Send a shoe to
put your foot down, ActionAid, Hamlyn House, LONDON, N19 5PG and be part of an exciting campaign stunt. Don’t forget to include your name and where you’re from.
