The Million Women Rise Coalition was formed at the beginning of 2007 and its main aim is to end violence against women. It organised last year's successful march and rally on International Women's Day last year, and will be doing so again this year .
The Million Women Rise Coalition needs your support. Firstly, please tell your friends and colleagues about this year's march.
Secondly, the coalition needs financial support, so please donate what you can. The coalition needs a further £10,000 to cover their costs which include: big screen and public address system for the rally, sign language interpreters, public liability insurance, provision of wheelchairs and mini bus for those who need them, security and cleaning of the rallying point afterwards. Please note all donations go directly to the cost of the march and nothing else.
Please send cheques to Million Women Rise, c/o Vivienne Hayes, Women's Resource Centre, 33-41 Dallington Street, London EC1V OBB. Cheques should be made payable to MILLION WOMEN RISE.
Finally, don't forget to come along on 7 March! Meet at midday in Portman Square, W1H, march through Oxford Street, and rally at Waterloo Place.
