Government launches combined fund for sexual violence services
Created from existing funds at the Office for Criminal Justice Reform and the Government Equalities Office, this new fund with an easier administration process is now open for applications from voluntary organisations. Organisations can apply to the fund for up to £20,000. The deadline for applications is
22 February and grant decisions will be announced in March.
This combined fund has been created as part of the government's
strategy to tackle violence against women. In accordance with the strategy, the government are also working to develop a long-term funding arrangement for voluntary organisations that deal with violence against women.
The Home Office has also made a total of £860,000 available to fund Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs) and is currently inviting organisations working in the sector to apply for grants.
